Cavalier goes to Dolby Chadwick
On balmy Friday night in San Francisco, the Cavalier team was ready to step out on the town and The Dolby Chadwick Gallery was our first stop. When we arrived our friend Lisa Chadwick, founder of Dolby Chadwick Gallery, immediately greeted us with a smile and a cocktail called The Aviation. As we sipped on the dreamy violet cocktail we were ready to take flight. We perused through Hunt Rettig’s collection of three-dimensional, mixed media assemblages that exude an ethereal calm. The glowing sea foam green and coral globs that reminded us of lava lamps will send you into a meditative state.
A resident of Aspen, Colorado, Hunt Rettig was born in El Paso, Texas. He has exhibited across the United States, including at the Aspen Art Museum, The David Weinberg Gallery, Chicago; and the Center of the Visual Arts, Denton, Texas.
Cracked & Absorbed has travelled from Nevada Museum of Art and will available for viewing at Dolby Chadwick Gallery until November 2, 2013.

Gonzalo Fuenmayor at Dolby Chadwick
At Cavalier we’re passionate about promoting the work of visual artists. We’ve been fortunate to partner on our fine art program with our dear friend Lisa Chadwick, founder of Dolby Chadwick Gallery.
On July 11th, Dolby Chadwick will present a solo exhibition of one of Cavalier’s favorite artists, Gonzalo Fuenmayor: They Say I Came Back Americanized. Born in Columbia but a resident of the United States since 1998, Fuenmayor is known for his extraordinarily precise charcoal drawings and exploration of themes of cultural hybridity and identity politics.
Fuenmayor’s mythical, sexy, witty works will be on view at Dolby Chadwick July 11 – August 31st. For more information on Fuenmayor and the First Thursday opening night event please visit:

For the 4th of July Holiday, everyone at Cavalier is ready to hit the road with the top down and the volume on full blast. The soundtrack we’re jamming to you might ask? It’s by none other than our friend and amazing singer-songwriter and musician, Joshua Smith of San Francisco’s Vexx X, whose soulful, vintage-infused pop is perfect for summer road tripping. One of our favorite tracks, Man in the Moon, features the incredible Brady Blade, drummer for the likes of Spyboy, Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris.
(Click on Image below to check out the video from his recording session on this track).
If you like what you hear, Vexx and the band have just launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for their debut album. You can check out more music, videos and pledge support here!
(Campaign ends July 27th so act fast!) CLICK HERE TO CONTRIBUTE!

Summer Chic with Alex & Lee
Just in time for glam summer lounging, Alex & Lee introduces their new collection of cuffs and double-strand ombre necklaces. These brand-new pieces exude A&L’s bohemian chic: gorgeous gold and silver metallics interwoven with azure blue and juicy oranges look fabulous rocked poolside or at cocktails.
The collection is also designed to be easy to wear for summer: the cuffs feature a cool magnetic closure (easy to pop off for a swim) and the double-strand necklaces come in three lengths.
The prices also make it easier to own Alex & Lee and range from $280-$360 for cuffs to $390-450 for necklaces.
